Iliana joined JKA in the Summer of 2016 after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC) in May 2016. At JKA, Iliana is a Job Captain and works on a wide range of commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Iliana most recently led the design and construction of the Hello Subaru Auto Dealership in Santa Clarita. Iliana was involved in each phase of the project, from schematic design to construction documentation. Most recently she has been the lead personnel in the historical renovation of the Found Hotel San Diego. Iliana has worked to efficiently undertake tenant improvements for the 183 units in the hotel and has done all the construction administration. 

In Summer 2017, she was part of JKA’s team in the redevelopment competition for the Lincoln Heights Jail, a competition promoted by LA City Council Official in the City of Los Angeles. Her experience also includes construction documentation for multi-family housing projects. She has helped with schematic design and code analysis and research for a 225-unit multi-family housing project.

 Iliana is part of the design team assisting in the development of Transit-Oriented Community Affordable Housing Incentives (TOC) projects, where her responsibilities include assisting in the schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of several projects located in South Los Angeles.

 Outside of JKA, Iliana enjoys assisting entry-level students in the Architecture field by sharing her experiences and advice for success. At East Los Angeles College she has been an active volunteer at the Department of Architecture as a lecturer, presentation juror, and mentor for new students since 2012.
