Sara Robles | Designer II

Education
Bachelor of Architecture
California Polytechnic State University- Pomona
Pomona, CA

Sara joined JKA in 2022 as a Designer. Prior to her involvement at JKA she received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona before working as a designer for three years. In her previous work she designed primarily residential projects of various scales including ADU’s, single-family residences and mixed-use buildings. Sara’s work style is very detail oriented and organized. Now a Designer II, at JKA, she has worked in a variety of projects, including housing, education, and civic projects. She is currently working on the design of a labor exchange center, which is being relocated from a temporary facility into a permanent one. For this project, Sara has done the design, specified details, and helped identify suitable materials.

She has also continued her work on multi-family housing in the past year and is working on the schematic design and programming for a 200+ unit project in the San Fernando Valley. Sara works efficiently to both optimize unit size for the client, but still incorporating important and necessary accommodations for residents.

In the next year, Sara hopes the projects shes working on will begin construction so she can practice construction administration skills.

In her free time, Sara enjoys any creative, hands-on activity such as drawing, sketching, painting, and most recently, knitting. Through her work, Sara hopes to design great spaces for underprivileged communities.
