Mission City Community Network (MCCN) worked with JKA to expand their community health clinic that offers primary care, OB/GYN, and dental services.

Funding for the project included a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act or “Stimulus Bill.”

The new 4,000 square foot facility is constructed adjacent to MCCN’s 1960s medical office building and incorporates 12 exam rooms, associated medical support spaces, and a training room.

The design features a tall sky-lit reception area that marks entries oriented to both the front and back of the site, a two-color paint scheme on the exterior to add visual interest, use of color at interiors to add warmth, and highly efficient space planning on a very tight lot to minimize costs.
