JKA was asked by the client to design a Transit Oriented Community (TOC) Tier 2 multi-family housing building that maximizes density in order to provide vital missing working class housing.
JKA took advantage of TOC Tier 2 initiatives such as dwelling unit increase and reducing the number of parking spaces. As a result, this building has 24 units, 3 of which will be reserved for extremely low income tenants. The mostly one bedroom unit building has amenities such as bicycle parking and spacious balconies.
The brown and beige hues that make up the color scheme allow the building to blend into the surrounding neighborhood while the stucco materials provide a unique texture.
